This month marks five years since we started installing solar PV (electricity generating) systems! We’ve installed many hundreds of PV systems all over the UK enabling customers to get paid for generating their own electricity and reduce their electricity bills.
All PV systems are fitted with an inverter which converts the Direct Current (DC) electricity from the PV modules to Alternating Current (AC). This converted electricity is then available to power appliances within a property exactly as normal grid generated electricity does.
Every inverter on an ‘A’ Grade Sunuser solar PV system comes with a comprehensive 5 year inverter warranty. As it’s been 5 years since we started installing solar PV systems, these warranties are coming to an end. Customers with SMA inverters (see photo on the left of the SMA inverter at our Head Office) have the opportunity to purchase an extended 5 year inverter warranty. This must be taken out before the current inverter warranty expires and can not be cancelled once purchased.
This extended warranty would provide continued peace of mind for the next 5 years: should a fault occur with an inverter a new one would be provided free of charge by the manufacturers. We highly recommend purchasing this warranty to help protect your investment. The inverter is the single most expensive component in the system and is essential to its operation.
