The accommodation blocks at universities, colleges and schools are an ideal application for solar thermal systems as large volumes of hot water are used. Carnegie College has six solar thermal systems on different blocks and Lancaster University has three separate solar thermal systems. Energy bills are reduced even in winter and carbon dioxide emissions are cut drastically with this environmentally friendly product.

We’ve been successfully repairing and servicing both domestic and commercial solar water heating systems since our foundation in 1981. We’ve gained much experience during these 34 years, both in flat plate and vacuum tube solar water heating equipment and always provide the highest level of expertise, workmanship and customer service.
We recommend that a solar thermal system is serviced and the anti-freeze/inhibitor fluid within the solar primary circuit replaced every 5 years. This provides the system with adequate frost protection and prevents permanent damage to the collectors. During a service all the system components are tested to ensure that the system is working to its optimum efficiency.
